Tentesol
Tentesol is a reflective solar control glass.
Tentesol is a reflective solar control glass.
Benefits
Limits solar heat entering the building, controls excessive glare, and provides a comfortable working and living environment.
Reduces cooling energy consumption in air-conditioned spaces, helping lower cooling costs.
Creates a mirror effect when viewed from the brighter side. For example, it provides one-way vision from inside to outside during the day, and from outside to inside at night (the opposite direction).
In curtain wall façades, its reflective property helps conceal structural and building elements—such as columns, beams, spandrel walls, suspended ceilings, and service voids—creating visual continuity.
When the coated surface is installed facing inward (Surface 2), the color is more prominent; when installed facing outward (Surface 1), reflectance becomes more prominent.
Thanks to its hard coating, it can be stored for long periods without damage.
Suitable for tempering, heat-strengthening, bending, ceramic frit printing, and lamination.
Note
All solar control glasses carry a risk of thermal breakage. For this reason, Tentesol is recommended to be used tempered or heat-strengthened. When laminating, to reduce thermal breakage risk, all plies of the laminated glass should be tempered or heat-strengthened.
